Overview #
Bloomnet Delivery Service allows you to request on-demand delivery drivers directly through your Bloomnet Business Management System (BMS).
The service connects you with third-party delivery partners, including Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, Roadie, and Walmart GoLocal, depending on availability in your area. It can be used to supplement your in-house drivers during high-volume periods or for deliveries outside your normal service range.
Bloomnet Delivery Service can be used for both Bloomnet and non-Bloomnet orders.
When to use Bloomnet Delivery Service #
You may consider using the service when:
- Your in-house drivers are fully booked
- You need coverage for out-of-zone deliveries
- You receive last-minute or same-day orders after your driver has left
- You experience holiday or event-related volume spikes
How to request a driver through BMS #
- Go to the "Awaiting Delivery" tab in BMS
- Check any orders you'd like to request a driver for
- Select "Create a Delivery Trip"
- Select "Delivery Service" from the dropdown menu.
- Bloomnet will automatically suggest the best provider based on your preferences (best price or fastest) and the customer promise.
- If you'd like to make a change to the suggested provider, click "View Rates" to compare rates across providers.
- Confirm and schedule the delivery.
When should I use ASAP vs Delivery Time Window? #
- ASAP delivery is a fast, point-to-point service where the order is picked up from the store and delivered directly to the recipient with no stops in between. This service is designed for urgent or time-sensitive deliveries. For example, Walmart and DoorDash ASAP deliveries are typically completed within 1 hour, while Uber ASAP deliveries are usually completed within 1.5 hours.
- DTW is our lower-cost option that can be used for non-urgent deliveries. A driver can be scheduled ahead for a range of time that you choose (e.g. 3:00-6:00 PM), rather than coming right away. With DTW orders, a driver may take multiple orders at the same time to different recipients. DTW works slightly differently across each of the delivery service providers.
How much does this service cost? #
Rates vary based on driving distance and timing. Pricing is displayed within BMS by order. Bloomnet has negotiated rates as low as $5.99 per delivery. For non-Bloomnet orders, a $1.00 surcharge will apply.
How will I be charged for this service? #
Charges will be applied to your monthly Bloomnet statement for the previous month’s deliveries. Example: October charges will be reflected in your November statement. You will be able to see order-level costs and discounts.
What happens if an order can't be delivered by the driver? #
If the intended recipient is not available, the driver will attempt to deliver the order to a third-party (front desk, neighbor, etc.) or leave the order at the recipient's door if safe to do so. When a delivery cannot be completed, the driver will return the order to your store. Return fees vary by provider:
| Provider | Return Fees |
| Uber Direct | Cost of delivery |
| Roadie | Cost of delivery |
| Walmart GoLocal | $4.00 per order |
| DoorDash Drive | 60% of delivery fee |
If an undelivered order is not returned to your shop, please contact the Delivery Service Provider via email within 24-48 hours. Please include: Shop Code, BMS Order ID #, DSP Delivery ID #, and a description of the issue including order value and any other relevant information.
| Delivery Service Provider | How to contact |
| Uber Direct | Email uberdirect@uber.com |
| Roadie | Email mxpsupport@doordash.com |
| Walmart GoLocal | Email glclientexperience@wal-mart.com |
| DoorDash Drive | Submit a claim here |
NOTE: It is recommended that you stay open an hour after the last selected delivery window to receive potential returns. That means if your last delivery time window is 3:00-6:00 PM, your shop should aim to remain open until 7:00 PM in case the order needs to be returned to your shop.
What happens if I need to cancel a delivery? #
If you need to cancel a delivery, do your best to cancel before a driver is assigned to avoid cancellation charges.
If you need to cancel a delivery before a driver is assigned:
- Locate the order in the "Out for Delivery" queue
- Click the trip ID #
- From the "Trip Details" page, click "Remove" to remove the order from the trip
- You will then be asked to confirm your selection
- You may be asked to provide a reason for cancelling the delivery
If you need to cancel a delivery after a driver is assigned:
Call the Delivery Service Provider's support line to request a cancellation.
| Delivery Service Provider | Support Number |
| Walmart GoLocal | (833) 819-4848 |
| DoorDash Drive | (855) 222-8111 |
| Uber Direct | (866) 987-3750 |
| Roadie | (470) 785-9768 |
Please note that orders cancelled after a driver has already been assigned will be subject to the Delivery Service Provider's cancellation fees:
| Delivery Service Provider | Cancellation Fee (Post Driver Assignment) |
| Uber Direct | $5.00 |
| Roadie | $10.00 |
| Walmart GoLocal | Varies based on miles driven |
| DoorDash Drive | Varies based on miles driven |
Are there limits to the size of arrangements that can be delivered? #
Bloomnet Delivery Services should not be used for oversized items such as funeral or event pieces. We recommend using this program for everyday arrangements.
