The Bloomnet Guide to Mother's Day
Mother’s Day is one of the busiest and most important times of the year for your shop. As order volume increases, simplifying your operations and planning ahead can make all the difference. Use the guide below to stay prepared and confident in the days leading up to the holiday.
Inventory & Supplies
In the days leading up to Mother’s Day, we reduce the overall assortment to help simplify design, sourcing, and fulfillment.
Take time now to review both the 1-800-Flowers Peak Product Assortment and the Bloomnet Express Mother’s Day Assortment, so you know exactly which arrangements to be prepared to fulfill as volume increases.

For 1-800-Flowers orders, there will be:
- 16 products available through May 7
- Reduced to 10 products from May 8 through May 10
- Recipe Change:
- The recipes for Honey Bee Buzz™ for Spring and Fields of Europe® for Mom have changed. Please review the updated recipes here.
For Bloomnet Express (Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Instacart), there will be:
- 5 core products available now through Mother’s Day
Focusing on these assortments will help streamline your workflow during peak days. Keep in mind that any orders placed prior to the assortment reduction will still need to be fulfilled, even if they fall outside of the peak assortment.
Be sure to review all updated recipes in advance and confirm you have the floral varieties and hardgoods needed to execute these designs without delays. Ordering early is key—especially for high-demand stems and containers.
You can source everything you need through Farm2Florist and NAPCO using your Bloomnet Clearinghouse account, helping you stay stocked without disrupting cash flow. You’ll also find pre-made bouquets designed to help you execute quickly and consistently during peak periods. Don’t forget to check out the Daily Deals tab for limited time offers with unbeatable savings.
Delivery & Fulfillment
As delivery volume increases, having a clear plan in place will help your team stay on track.
Flexible Delivery will be available Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, giving you more flexibility in when orders are delivered. Make sure your team knows where to find these instructions—they will appear in the Special Instructions section in BloomLink.
If you anticipate needing additional drivers, Bloomnet Delivery Service can help you scale quickly with access to on-demand partners like Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, Roadie, and Walmart GoLocal. If you haven’t used it before, consider giving it a try ahead of the holiday so you’re comfortable using it when things get busy.
From May 8 through May 10, DoorDash ASAP deliveries will honor Delivery Time Window rates, which can help you manage last-minute demand more efficiently.
Also, a reminder on delivery quality: 1-800-Flowers orders that include Photo Proof of Delivery are 6x less likely to be cancelled. Make sure your drivers are familiar with photo guidelines and are using an approved delivery app to capture proof correctly.
Shop Availability
Keeping your availability up to date is critical during peak periods. This helps ensure customers only see products your shop can confidently fulfill.
If needed, you can update your availability directly in BloomLink, including temporarily suspending orders.
If you need to suspend a specific sender — either Express or 1-800-Flowers — please contact Customer Service for assistance. This includes cases where you want to pause 1-800-Flowers orders while continuing to receive Express orders.
