The BloomNet Diversity Program is designed to identify the diverse businesses within our network. Being recognized as part of this program provides opportunities to communicate the uniqueness of your business and offer inspiration for customers to support you. As part of this initiative, we will be developing marketing and communications materials, as well as creating other ways to help you tell your story and drive increased awareness of your diversity-owned business.
To join our Diversity Program, we ask that you complete our free self-attestation form indicating you are at least 51% owned, operated, managed, and controlled by a member of one or more of the following:
*African American/Black, Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI), Native American or Alaska Native, and Latinx/Hispanic
Please note, we will connect you with an independent consultant, with whom we have partnered for the purpose of helping interested BloomNet members navigate the process of securing official certification, at the State or Federal level or which is granted by one of several 3rd party organizations.
If you are already diversity-certified through State, Federal or 3rd party organization, we will capture that information from the attestation form as well, so BloomNet can recognize and track your certifications.
Together with Communication Wave, you can now tell your story even further. For a fee, you can create more awareness of your diverse business with state and federal certifications, educational trainings and many other opportunities designed specifically for small businesses. These resources cover diversity, equity, & inclusion tools that can help small businesses compete with larger companies.
In addition, we are in the process of creating a BloomNet Small Business | Shop Local® Program to promote the uniqueness of your local brand within your community and to consumers nationwide. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
We are excited to let you know about the new Diversity Program Scholarship we're offering to BloomNet Members. We will randomly select two businesses within the BloomNet network who qualify. We will then cover the cost ($265) of upcoming Diversity Program Workshops for that month. Click here for workshop details.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS**:
Members must meet all of the above existing requirements to be considered for the scholarship. A list of required documents will be sent to each participant. These are documents every business owner has or are simple to acquire.
