Proud sponsor and volunteer in distribution of thousands of flowers at Jacksonville National Cemetery
Memorial Day is a special holiday, a time when our nation has the opportunity to honor those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the United States and the freedoms its citizens enjoy.
BloomNet recognizes this sacrifice and will proudly serve as primary sponsor for the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation (MDFF) event on May 25, 2019 at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
As part of its sponsorship of the event, the BloomNet team will volunteer in the distribution of more than 12,000 flowers at veterans’ headstones – adding to 3,000 flowers donated by TD Bank – offering a holiday tribute to all those interred at the cemetery.
“BloomNet is truly honored and very excited to participate in this event, which will allow us to honor all 15,000 veterans buried at Jacksonville National Cemetery,” said Renato Cruz Sogueco, AAF, PFCI, BloomNet Vice President of Digital Strategy and MDFF coordinator for the Jacksonville event over the past three years.
Joining volunteers from BloomNet and TD Bank will be local Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs who will help distribute the flowers. However, everyone throughout the Jacksonville community and beyond is also welcome to volunteer their time to help distribute the flowers, starting at 11:30 a.m. on May 25 at Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
Every year, the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation coordinates with private, public and corporate sponsors, as well as with local organizers and volunteers to place a flower on the gravesite of interred veterans. This floral tribute connects communities and provides an opportunity for them to honor their heroes and recognize the sacrifices they and their families have made for our country.
